The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) published the new BIM measurement information requirements (MIR) to its members. The MIR could serve two main purposes: (1) as an effective reference when communicating with designers and modellers on the model information that quantity surveyors want and (2) as a guide for fellow QSs to perform BIM quantity takeoffs (QTOs).
