(or at least, Contract Dispute Resolution)

Entering into and/or managing contracts are a daily occurrence for professionals across sectors.Hopefully, going to 'war' on such contracts does not happen so often. But when a dispute does arise, you want to make sure that you know how to dodge the bullets and how to best protect your commercial interests.

We have all heard of Sun Tzu's The Art of War on military strategy. This webinar cannot profess to imitate that piece, but is aimed at equipping you with the knowledge to put your best foot forward in the event of any contractual dispute. The event covers fundamental legal principles as well as practical guidance in relation to breaches of contract, damages, termination and dispute resolution. Participants will develop confidence on legal jargon and obtain pragmatic tips to best achieve business aims - be that a tactical knock-out or an amicable commercial compromise.

SPEAKER'S PROFILE
Practising for over two decades, Ming started her career with the specialised Projects & Infrastructure practice group at Rajah & Tann LLP. Ming is now with Eldan Law LLP where her main practice areas are international arbitration,litigation and adjudication for construction, corporate/commercial and tax matters. Ming is ranked as a notable practitioner in Asialaw 2023 for construction.On the advisory front, Ming brings to the table commercial acumen and focused insights from her dispute resolution experience for pre-bid deliberations, contract negotiations, the review of joint venture agreements, concession agreements, and advisory work generally.

Ming has since 2018 served on the Law Reform Committee, Building Construction Sub-Committee, proposing law reform and practice guidelines connection with the construction industry. Since 2022, Ming has also served as a committee member of the Construction Adjudicator Accreditation committee(CAAC) of the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), overseeing the selection and assessment of the construction adjudicator panel.
