We had an incredible time at the PAQS Chairman's visit to the China Engineering Cost Association (CCEA) and the CPD Seminar on 17 June 2024 at the Xin Jiang Plaza Hotel in Beijing.

Highlights of the Event:

1. Prof. Anthony Mills shared his insights on the "Productivity and Capacity: Outlook for the Australian Construction Industry", providing a thorough analysis and future perspectives for the Australian construction sector.

2. Sr Kwan Hock Hai delivered an engaging presentation on "Analysing Green Cost & Returns in Malaysia", highlighting the economic benefits and challenges of green building practices in Malaysia.

3. Sr Francis Leung discussed "Collaborative Contracting - A Welcoming Change in Construction Culture in Hong Kong", emphasizing the positive shifts in construction culture through collaborative approaches in Hong Kong.

4. Mr. Goh Ngan Hong provided an overview of the "Role of the QS in the Building & Construction Industry Security Payment (SOPA) in Singapore", detailing the importance and impact of SOPA on the industry and the role of Quantity Surveyors.

The seminar was a fantastic opportunity for professionals to gain valuable insights and network with leading experts in the field. The discussions were insightful, and the knowledge shared was invaluable.
