On August 24, 2024, the PAQS Digitalisation Committee convened in Brunei during the PAQS Congress 2024. Sr Sunny Choi led the meeting with 17 representatives from 11 PAQS member countries.

The committee agreed: Digitalisation and BIM are not threats, but opportunities for Quantity Surveyors to elevate their role in the construction industry. As data experts, QSs are well-positioned to leverage digital tools for improved contract management, cost control, and productivity.

Moving forward, the committee will focus on cross-sharing success stories and lessons learned to advance the digitalisation of the QS profession globally.
